Before Verendus Industries, he was the Automation Manager for iWeiss Theatrical Solutions, where he was responsible for creating a complete automated rigging product line which focuses on machinery for long term permanent installation and intuitive controls.
Paul also spent several years living in Las Vegas where he held various positions including Head of Automation for Cirque Du Soleil’s “O” at the Bellagio Hotel and was responsible for all aspects of automation as well as upgrading the shows control system with new hardware and software while never missing a show. Prior to joining Cirque, Paul put his time in working his way around Fisher Technical Services Inc. (FTSI) with positions including: Electrical Designer, Lead Mechanical Designer, and ultimately Production manager.
Originally from Maryland, Paul cut his teeth in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. theatre scene working as a technical director and lighting designer and fell into automation accidentally. We have worked across the entertainment industry not only as designers and fabricators, but as managers, professors, installers, maintenance crew and end users. This enables us see your unique point of view and provide the products and service your project needs.
We have worked with some of the most complex and spectacular equipment throughout all of the entertainment industry. This gives us the confidence to handle whatever your needs might be. We follow a simple design philosophy; all equipment must be effective, efficient and elegant.
We have learned through our years of experience that the costliest part of an automation project happens once gear is onsite and the install has begun. Knowing this has lead us to design our products and processes to be straight forward and to install reliably onsite. We do this by assembling and testing all of our equipment in our manufacturing facility to prove operation and address any issues while the proper tools are on hand.
We pride ourselves on our practical industry experience and agility in problem solving. With Verendus you have a partner you can count on who not only understands your vision but can carry it through from concept to completion.
